Difference between bpd and bipolar disorder
Bipolar disorder is a mood disorder which is relatively common around the world and is found in both men and women. As a mental condition bipolar disorder is characterised by extreme and unusually long mood changes that swing between mania and depression. Both the moods are associated with specific symptoms which are largely changes in behaviour and emotions. However a lot of the symptoms of bipolar disorder are those which are found in several other conditions also, including Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). Due to this, many people tend to confuse BPD for bipolar disorder, when in fact they are two completely different conditions and there are many differences between BPD and Bipolar disorder. Borderline Personality Disorder mainly involves distortions in cognition. This change in the cognition gives rise to most of the other symptoms of BPD. One of the primary symptoms of borderline personality disorder is self-injury. This symptom is also seen in Bipolar disorder, but the difference between BPD and bipolar disorder in this relation is that in bipolar disorder the self-injury is more the result of suicidal ideation (severe depression) or hallucinations or delusions (severe mania). Bipolar disorder is basically mood changes, which is also a symptom of BPD. However the difference between BPD and bipolar disorder is that while mood episodes in bipolar disorder can last up to several weeks and even months, in BPD the mood change lasts for a couple of hours. Another difference between BPD and bipolar disorder is that while bipolar disorder requires a presence of both mania (or hypomania) and depressive episodes, BPD symptoms mainly involve symptoms of depression keeping in line with distorted cognitions and even if there is a positive feeling, its tepid at best. Also in those with bipolar disorder, the mood changes are spontaneous and can occur out of nowhere while in those with BPD, the mood shifts are generally due to an external stressor like an argument with a parent etc. One of the biggest difference between BPD and bipolar disorder is one symptom that isn’t common – patients with BPD live with a profound fear of being abandonment. People with bipolar disorder do not have this symptom. Another major difference between BPD and bipolar disorder is that psychotic symptoms (hallucinations and delusions) are very often exhibited in severe cases of bipolar disorder while these are absent in those with BPD. Instead people with BPD function largely from the belief that they are worthless and no good and will be abandoned. Differences between BPD and bipolar disorder can also be seen in the treatment method. For bipolar disorder medication works best along with conventional therapies like behavioural, cognitive etc though they aren’t always the best option. For BPD however, Dialectical behaviour therapy (which was specially designed for BPD) works best though medication is also required.
Flu vaccination
One of the more common infections in humans is Influenza, more commonly known as ‘flu’. Influenza, which is caused by the influenza virus, can attack both birds and mammals. In humans, this disease can be of a moderate to severe nature. Symptoms of the flu in humans typically include chills, fever, headaches, muscle soreness, sore throat, fatigue, and an over sense of discomfort. If the flu attack is severe, it could lead to pneumonia which could lead to death in very young children or the elderly. Influenza is very contagious and spreads through air. Anyone who has influenza will be infectious for about a week and can spread the virus through coughing, sneezing, through the salvia, nasal secretions, etc. Influenza has had a long history with humans. In the 20th century alone there have been 3 influenza pandemics that have killed tens of millions of people. Influenza is caused by a virus that is constantly mutating. Thus, each year, it is likely that a new strain of the virus is causing the flu. Although the flu is not considered to be a very serious illness, the more developed countries like the US make use of flu vaccinations to protect the people from influenza. There are 2 types of flu vaccinations that are available today. One flu vaccination is made of the killed virus and is in the form of an injection, more commonly known as a ‘flu shot’. The other flu vaccination is in the form of a nasal spray which contains the influenza virus in an attenuated form, known as Live Attenuated Influenza Virus (LAIV). The flu shot can be given to all ages; however the flu vaccination as a spray is not suited to children below 2 yrs of age or adults above 50 yrs of age or to pregnant women. The flu vaccination is made of 3 strains of viruses – two influenza virus A types (H3N2, H1N1) and one influenza virus B type. The flu vaccinations that are used are not made of the same strains of the viruses each year. Since the influenza virus is constantly mutating, each year, the flu vaccination is made up of viruses that scientists and experts in the field believe to be the next mutation to cause the flu. The flu vaccination is recommended for the elderly (above 65), those with chronic heart, lung and liver conditions, healthcare workers, children from 6 months to 18 yrs of age and pregnant women. The flu vaccination is, it should not be taken by those who have an allergy to chicken eggs and those less than 6 months in age. The flu vaccination is safe and effective and the side effects include the usual soreness at the point of injection, a slight fever or rash and increased crankiness in young children.
Definition of food allergies
What is the definition of food allergies? How might it differ from other food related issues? There are some individuals who have intolerance to juice because of the acid. It causes the person stomach pain, diarrhea, and maybe even a small rash, but this intolerance is not necessarily an allergy. This is why it is important to understand the definition of food allergies so that you know what is actually an allergic reaction, and what is only a mild intolerance. It will help you seek the proper treatment and keep yourself healthy. First food intolerance means that you have a reaction to food because your body doesn’t have the necessary enzymes to break down the food you have eaten or in the case of juice you may find your stomach has more acid than is normal. With a food allergy you are looking at something that causes an immediate reaction to eating the food, in which your throat closes up, you can go into anaphylactic shock, and the hives appear almost within seconds of ingesting the food. You will also find that food allergies are related to the immune system. This is one of the reasons the reaction to the food can be so quick. As soon as the food touches your skin or inside your mouth your body starts to react as the first taste reaches your body’s immune system. Once you understand the definition of food allergies you can help to remedy the situation. For instance, if you have only a mild case of intolerance you may not see a need to change your diet. On the other hand if you have a true food allergy that will cause anaphylactic shock the instant the substance touches your skin you are going to have to change your diet. You see for most food allergies that individuals suffer from it will be a mild case, where they may feel a little swelling, but generally be okay, as the symptoms will disappear in a few hours. With the more severe cases the food and any food substance must be avoided from even coming into contact on the outer skin. If a person with a severe allergy were to touch peanut oil they could have a reaction that causes the need for epinephrine. This means that eating such foods could indeed cause death before the actual medication were to work. The definition of food allergies is a constant and it is something one should understand for the proper treatment to be provided.
Botox filler
Botox is a famous technique which started the whole of the facial rejuvenation industry. Using filler material for the facial rejuvenation is off shoot of this industry. Combining these two therapies for better result is a new botox filler technique. It is obvious that botox filler technique gives double the benefit of both these well known methods of facial rejuvenation. Let us now go in to the details of this botox filler method. Botox is a method in which you inject a chemical in to some predefined area under the skin. The muscles in that area are paralyzed. The wrinkle producing muscles, stop their work as they are paralyzed. Thus wrinkle formation stops. This is a simplistic way of telling how botox method works. In case of filler method a filler chemical is introduced in the skin. If we introduce some chemical in the lips, then they will appear as full, looking beautiful. The combination of these two methods is called botox filler method. It is observed that in botox filler method you can get advantages of both these methods. It appears that in botox filler method the muscles help each other. Botox has been extensively researched now. Similarly filler technique is also well developed now. This makes it very easy and more useful to use the combination of these technologies to get a better botox filler method. The filler method means replacement of lost facial volume and botox means relaxing of facial muscles. So botox filler method is an innovative combination of replacement of facial volume along with the facial muscle relaxation. Thus we get best of the both world in botox filler method. When we use both botox and the filling agents like collagen or hyauleric acid we get both reflation and relaxation technique at our disposal. The end result of using this combination botox filler method is simply stunning. The results obtained by botox filler method are so good that they can not be compared with anything obtained in the past. The dwelling time of filling agents is increased because of combination of these two methods. When you use this dual combination technology of botox filler what you are actually doing is correcting wrinkles by restoring volume and also relaxing the pull of muscles that creates negative facial expressions. WE certainly do not want crow’s feet or any other similar negative expressions. When you are using dual methods like botox filler, you must be highly qualified and well studied experienced person to administer this type of combination botox filler method. What are the combined effects? How will particular filling agent react to presence of botox? These are very important and delicate questions. Only experts can give answer to these types of queries. Botox filler is boon to humanity, but must be used under expert medical supervision.
Cosmetic surgery
According to latest statistics, More than 12 million cosmetic surgical and nonsurgical procedures were performed in the US alone last year and every year it is increased by one percent. Cosmetic surgery is a subspecialty of medicine and surgery that distinctively restricts itself to the improvement of appearance, irregularity and defects through surgical and non-surgical techniques. It is particularly concerned with preserving normal appearance or reinstates it, or enhancing it beyond the actual level toward some ideal level. Cosmetic surgery is a multi-disciplinary and comprehensive approach directed to all areas of the body. The top five surgical procedures were breast augmentation, nose reshaping liposuction eyelid surgery, and tummy tuck. Statistics shows that the top five nonsurgical cosmetic procedures among the people are botox injections, laser hair removal, hyaluronic acids, microdermabrasion, chemical peels. Middle-agers normally from 35 to 50 had the majority of procedures. The most common procedures for those 18 and under were Laser Hair Removal, Microdermabrasion, Rhinoplasty (Nosejob surgery) and Otoplasty (ear surgery) Why consider cosmetic surgery? Cosmetic surgery aims to change your appearance by changing parts of your body that have normal functions but looks make you unhappy. Reconstructive surgery is different which can reinstate look and function of body parts affected by hereditary defects, injuries and diseases Cosmetic surgery helps not only to look better, but also to feel better. Those who look for cosmetic surgery generally have an upbeat self-image, despite being oddly focused on one or more aspects of their appearance which others may or may not recognize. Postoperative benefits include personal well being due to positive self-image and improve family and social interactions. Although no studies have convincingly proved that most people can expect dramatic enhancement in their psychological well-being, however it is logical to believe that the patients perception about them changes normally if their appearance changes. Because the old adage may say ‘face is the index of mind’ but the reality is ‘mind is the index of the face’ 1. Don’t have unrealistic expectations that cosmetic surgery turns you star overnight. Anticipate improvement and avoid dreaming about perfection. Also don’t count on cosmetic surgery can save a drowning relationship or improve your social interactions. 2. The surgical and non-surgical procedures may vary and your recovery rate will be higher. Returning to work or taking care of other responsibilities may take from few days to more than a month. 4. Understand the possibility of risks involved in cosmetic surgery. You should be factual and you should know that it may be risky to your health and that the outcome may not like what you expect Possible risks: 1. Nausea, giddiness, pain Numbness and tingling sensation which may become permanent 2. An accumulation of fluid beneath the wound (seroma) and collection of blood in incision (hematoma) may happen and profuse bleeding in some patients has been reported 3. Skin breakdown is more common after cosmetic surgery caused by poor blood circulation and it happens particularly if you are a smoker 4. Infection at the site of surgery is another most common risk which may require more surgery and may leave even bigger scars. Asymmetrical or uneven appearance which may require additional surgery to correct 5. A drop in body temperature below what is required for normal metabolism (hypothermia) And the worst possible risk is dissatisfaction of the outcome of surgery. The outcome depends of lot of factors our expectations, surgeon’s skill, duration and type of surgery and our body’s healing mechanism. To avoid this have a chat with your surgeon to establish realistic, measurable and possible goals before surgery.

If taking botox injection is easy, why do I insist on medical supervision part in botox skin care treatment? Botox skin care method works on the principle of making wrinkle producing muscle ineffective by paralyzing it. The chemical useful for paralyzing the muscle is introduced through the injection. The syringes used have very small needles. The minimum pain associated with injection can compare to that of bug bite. The ordinary people are tempted to administer injection themselves because it does not cause any pain and is easy to do. The problem is the nature of botox skin care chemical involved. If you inject in wrong area then the muscle there will get paralyzed. So you may paralyze healthy, useful muscle by mistake. The dosage of chemical is something only a qualified doctor can decide. Any excess of chemical can, cerate havoc on your face. The dosage, injection site, frequency are all the matters best handled by the professionals. This is the reason why botox skin care treatment must be used under strict medical supervision. Botox skin care method has started the whole face rejuvenation business.
Alopecia and bio
Alopecia is hair loss, many people experience some form of this hair loss at one point or time in their lives. There are many causes for the loss of hair to occur and many people accredit it to different hormonal changes within their bodies. Many women start to under go the lost of their hair when they are going through menopause. Alopecia and bio-identical hormones may play a part together. If you are experiencing a form of hair loss you may be interested in trying alopecia and bio-identical hormones type of treatment plan. Males inadvertently produce more testosterone then women, which doctors have been able to link this particular hormone as a cause for many men losing their hair at a young age. As testosterone levels raise a males power and strength will increase but their hair will begin to diminish. There is really no particular reason why this happens, but doctors have found that this is the main reason why males have more hair loss then females do. However, when a female is going through a menopausal state she will also begin to see a significant amount of hair loss as well. Doctors have been able to contribute this particular loss of hair to the cause of bio-identical hormones going basically out of control at one time. Known as the change by most women menopause can cause so many different things to happen to a woman’s body it’s almost astonishing. However, just because hormones do play a part in alopecia it is not the only reason for the condition. There are many different factors that contribute to alopecia and people that are left having to suffer with the disorder. There are treatment options that are available. Yet many of the treatment options have diverse affects on different people. Doctor’s note these affects because not everyone develops alopecia from the same thing. There are medications that can cause the problem as well as many things that you do to your hair. Things such as obsessive dying of hair, styling, or even something as small as things that you don’t eat, can affect you having the condition of alopecia; there is no definite cure at this point and time. Alopecia and bio-identical hormones play a big role in alopecia. However many of the studies that were performed basically show that some of the hormones are passed down. Meaning a lot of people develop alopecia and something like it because of heredity. There are different creams, oils and oral medications that can be taken to try to solve the problem. Be well aware that these methods have different effects on different people. Do not expect the same thing to work for you that has worked for someone else.
